Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 4 August 2026

These terms are a plain-English starting point. For full legal comfort, have a UK solicitor review them before you rely on them in production.

1. Who these terms cover

"Docket", "we", "us" refers to the service operator; "you" refers to the account holder. By using Docket you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility & account

You must be 18 or over and legally able to enter contracts. You're responsible for keeping your Google login secure and for any activity on your account.

3. Free trial & subscription

  • Every new account gets a 3-day free trial with up to 5 documents.
  • To keep going after the trial you can subscribe to Premium at £10/month, billed monthly via Stripe.
  • Prices are inclusive of any VAT where applicable and may change with 30 days notice.
  • You can cancel from the Billing page any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
  • We don't offer routine refunds for partial months, but we'll always sort genuine billing errors — email us.

4. Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Docket never stores your full card number. You authorise Stripe (on our behalf) to charge your card each month until you cancel.

5. Your content

You own everything you enter into Docket — customers, documents, logo, signatures. You grant us the limited right to store, process and display it so we can provide the service to you. You're responsible for making sure what you enter is accurate and lawful (especially compliance data on waste transfer notes).

6. AI features

AI suggestion tools use third-party AI providers such as Claude and OpenAI. Outputs are drafts — you must review every document before sending it. AI can make mistakes; you remain solely responsible for the content, pricing, dates and legal accuracy of every document you send.

7. Waste transfer notes disclaimer

Docket helps you produce waste transfer notes, but it does not constitute legal advice. You remain responsible for duty-of-care compliance, choosing correct EWC/SIC codes, licensing, and ensuring receiving facilities are permitted.

8. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Impersonate anyone or use the service for fraud.
  • Upload unlawful, hateful or infringing content.
  • Reverse-engineer, resell or white-label Docket without our written consent.
  • Scrape or abuse the AI features to generate content unrelated to your legitimate business use.

We can suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

9. Availability

We aim for high uptime but Docket is provided "as is" without any specific service-level guarantee. Occasional maintenance downtime may occur.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't lawfully be excluded (death, personal injury, fraud). For everything else, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of data.

11. Termination

You can stop using Docket at any time; we can suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. On termination we'll delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
