Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 August 2026

This policy is a plain-English starting point. For full legal comfort, have a UK solicitor review it before you rely on it in production.

1. Who we are

Docket ("we", "us", "our") is a document-creation tool for waste-removal businesses. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights. If you have questions, contact us at livrose151515@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

  • Account: your email, name and Google profile data if you sign in with Google.
  • Business profile: business name, trade, phone, address, VAT/company/waste-carrier numbers, logo image.
  • Documents you create: customers, line items, waste details, signatures and any notes you enter.
  • Billing: Stripe holds your card details; we only store subscription status and a payment reference.
  • Technical: device type, browser, IP address and standard log data.

3. Why we use it

Delivering the service you signed up for, generating your documents, taking payment for the £10/month subscription, keeping the app secure, and responding to support requests.

4. Third parties

  • Google — authentication (Sign in with Google).
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
  • Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI — AI text features, accessed via Emergent's proxy on your behalf. Your prompts pass through these providers to generate replies.
  • Resend — sending verification and document emails.
  • MongoDB & Emergent hosting — where your account, documents and files live.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your documents to train third-party AI models.

5. Data retention

Your documents and account data are kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we remove your data within 30 days, except records we're legally required to retain (e.g. payment records for HMRC).

6. Your rights (UK GDPR)

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and can object to processing or ask us to restrict it. Email us at livrose151515@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

7. Cookies

We use only essential local storage to keep you logged in and remember your session. No advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use of Docket after a change means you accept the updated policy.
